About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team at a friendly and inclusive school in Canterbury. This role is vital in helping provide nutritious meals to pupils and staff in a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with food hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing up and cleaning surfaces and equipment.
Support the catering team during busy service times.
Help with stock rotation and basic food storage tasks.
Follow all health and safety procedures, including allergen awareness.Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this role (assistance can be provided if needed).
