Job Description
This is an incredible opportunity to join a premium knitwear brand, based in the Scottish Borders, you will work under the Design Manager and Creative Director, to ensure fit and quality of premium knitwear collections. You will have strong technical knit and yarn knowledge, with solid experience in a similar role. You will be confident liaising with the local factories and making sure design details are translated into viable products. This role will cover womenswear with some men’s knitwear styles and accessories.
Knitwear Technologist – The Role
* You will ensure quality standards meet expectations and fit is in line with expectations from a luxury customer base.
* Translate design vison to commercially viable, well-fitting garments, working closely with manufacturers, and ensuring continuity in quality
* Maintain fit standards, ensure size and grading are consistent.
* Generate and maintain workbooks, and records across all technical data.
* Support design team on sampling requests and new development.
Knitwear Technologist – The Person
* You will be passionate about Knitwear with solid working experience in this area,
* Able to communicate with all stakeholders.
* Confident making commercial decisions on fit and quality.
* Understand customer profile and expectations and maintain high standards for luxury products.
* This role is based in house, in the Scottish borders, you will be either in a commutable distance, or willing to relocate for this role.
