The Role:
Work with Year 1 and Year 2 to run short, targeted interventions in phonics, early writing and number. Provide 1:1 support, guide small groups, set up activities, and keep brief impact notes to inform next steps. Reinforce routines, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence.
The Candidate:
You’re a graduate who communicates clearly, follows guidance well, and builds rapport with young children. You’re organised, patient, and keen to learn from experienced teachers as you prepare for initial teacher training.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in KS1 and pupil progress.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
