GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and caring KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school located in Sheffield from this September 2025. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and enjoy supporting children of early aged.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant working across KS1 and KS2, you will assist class teachers in delivering engaging lessons and provide individualised support to help pupils succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities as KS1/KS2 TA:
Support pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis across both KS1 and KS2.
Assist teachers with classroom preparation, organisation, and behaviour management.
Help pupils access learning activities and encourage their participation and progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with staff to meet pupils’ individual needs and learning goals.
Promote good behaviour and social skills in line with the school’s values.
Candidate Requirements for KS1/KS2 TA:
Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and pupil needs.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
