Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Key Stage 1 teacher ready to embrace a leadership role. As KS1 Phase Leader, you will oversee the teaching and learning across Years 1 and 2, ensuring consistency, excellence, and high standards across the phase. In addition to your own teaching responsibilities, you will guide and support colleagues, contribute to school improvement planning, and help shape the strategic direction of our school.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding teaching in a KS1 classroom with a focus on inclusion and engagement
*
Provide effective leadership, coaching, and support to the KS1 team
*
Monitor, evaluate, and enhance teaching and learning to ensure continual improvement
*
Analyse assessment data to track progress and inform interventions
*
Drive curriculum development and consistency across Key Stage 1
*
Lead phase meetings, CPD sessions, and contribute to whole-school training
*
Work in close partnership with the senior leadership team to implement key priorities
*
Foster strong relationships with families and external partners to support pupil outcomes
We Are Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*
Substantial and successful experience teaching in Key Stage 1
*
Excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, phonics, and assessment practices
*
A confident, collaborative leader who can inspire and develop others
*
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
*
A reflective practitioner committed to inclusion and continuous professional growth
*
Prior leadership or subject leadership experience is desirable
*
This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
