Supply Desk are working in partnership with a large, inclusive primary school in Rochester, who are seeking a qualified and flexible primary teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role running for at least the full academic year.
The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is well known for its supportive staff, inclusive ethos, and positive relationships between staff, students, and families. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, the school offers shared planning and regular collaboration, creating a consistent and supportive teaching environment.
About the Role:
The school is open to appointing a teacher to either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference. They are looking for a resilient and committed teacher who has previously worked with children from vulnerable backgrounds and across a range of abilities. You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and involvement in the wider life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
Assessment: Track pupil progress and use data to inform next steps in learning.
Classroom Management: Create a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues through shared planning, and build positive relationships with families and external agencies.
Development: Engage in ongoing CPD opportunities and contribute to school life.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Have experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally with exposure to a range of needs and backgrounds.
Be flexible and open to teaching either KS1 or KS2.
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach to learning.
Be resilient, collaborative, and committed to the wellbeing and progress of all students.
Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check (registered on the update service).
