Your role will involve:
*
Delivering a broad and balanced KS1 curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
*
Creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel confident and ready to learn.
*
Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and plan personalised support.

Working closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and families to support pupils’ academic and emotional development.
*
Playing an active role in wider school life, including clubs, events, and enrichment opportunities.
We are looking for someone who:
*
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*
Has experience teaching in KS1 and a secure understanding of the national curriculum.
*
Is a confident classroom practitioner with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
*
Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with children and adults alike.
*
Is reflective, organised, and keen to contribute to school improvement.
*
Brings energy, creativity, and a team spirit to their work.
What We Offer:
*
A friendly, community-focused school in the heart of Thornbury.
*
Enthusiastic, well-behaved children who love learning.
*
A supportive leadership team and dedicated colleagues.
*
Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
*
A positive, inclusive school culture where staff wellbeing is prioritised.
