Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Key Stage 1 teacher to join our friendly and supportive school community in Bath and North East Somerset. About the Role:
You will be responsible for leading a Key Stage 1 class, creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to thrive. The role requires someone who understands the importance of nurturing the whole child, delivering the curriculum in a way that builds both confidence and curiosity.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND or EAL.
*
Establishing a calm, inclusive classroom culture that supports personal, social, and emotional development.

Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child makes progress and enjoys learning.

Contributing to school-wide initiatives, enrichment opportunities, and the wider life of the school.
*
Participating in relevant training and collaboration across the trust to enhance your practice.

Holds QTS and has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, including knowledge of phonics and early reading.

Communicates effectively with children, colleagues, and families.
