Job Title: KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Wandsworth Salary: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Long-term with the opportunity of a permanent contract Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm Are you a compassionate and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children with complex needs? GSL Education is currently recruiting for a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated and skilled team at a special school in Wandsworth. This role focuses on supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) across Key Stage. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate. If you have experience working in a SEN setting or a genuine interest in helping children with additional needs, this role could be perfect for you. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with PMLD throughout the school day, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. Assisting with PEG feeding, medication administration, personal care, and monitoring students’ health and well-being. Providing care and classroom support, ensuring pupils are engaged and able to participate in activities. Working closely with teachers and other support staff to adapt learning to meet each pupil’s individual needs. Maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and safeguarding. Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience working in a SEN setting, particularly with PMLD students. A positive and nurturing approach to supporting children’s learning and personal care. Experience supporting pupils with medical needs, including PEG feeding. A valid right to work in the UK (visa holders are welcome to apply).
