KS1 Teacher – Rochester
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long Term (Maternity Cover until July 2026)
Required to start in January 2026
Supply Desk are delighted to be working with a small, welcoming primary school in Rochester with a real community feel. The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to cover maternity leave from January 2026 until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher who is passionate about inspiring young learners and committed to delivering high-quality education.
Position Overview:
This long-term role offers the chance to make a real impact in a supportive environment. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in your class.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons for KS1 pupils.
Assess and track pupil progress in line with school policies.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
Work collaboratively with staff and parents to support pupil development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS1.
Strong understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum and child development.
Ability to plan and prepare lessons independently.
Experience with SEND is desirable.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Passionate about making a difference and fostering a love of learning.
