About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting a confident and engaging KS1 Teacher for a friendly primary school in Hertfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys the energy and curiosity of younger pupils and understands how to build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. You will join a supportive Key Stage 1 team where planning is collaborative and teachers are encouraged to bring their own creativity to lessons.
The school has a calm, community-focused atmosphere and is looking for someone who can establish clear routines while making learning enjoyable and accessible.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons.
Develop pupils’ reading, writing and mathematical understanding.
Deliver effective phonics teaching.
Monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
Maintain positive classroom behaviour and routines.
Support pupils with SEND and different starting points.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status.
Experience teaching within KS1.
Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Strong phonics knowledge.
Effective classroom and behaviour management.
Commitment to inclusive teaching and safeguarding.
