Job Title: KS1 Teacher Location: Grimsby Salary: £120 - £180 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term; Full-Time/Part-Time Are you a passionate KS1 Teacher looking to make a lasting impact in the early years of education? GSL Education are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Key Stage One (KS1) Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Grimsby. This role is perfect for a dedicated teacher who enjoys making learning fun and meaningful for students. Your role as a KS1 Teacher In this role, you will have the freedom to bring creativity into your teaching while following the national curriculum and school policies. You will help students develop key skills in reading, writing, and math and support their personal and social growth through creative and interactive teaching. Key Responsibilities—KS1 Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the different learning needs and abilities of students in Year 1 and Year 2. Promote good behaviour and routines using consistent, age-appropriate behaviour management strategies. Monitor and assess student progress through observations, marking, and assessment tools such as phonics screening and teacher assessments. Keep accurate records and report on children’s development to parents, carers, and school leaders. Candidate Requirements for the Role of KS1 Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification. Previous UK experience teaching within a Key Stage 1 classroom is desirable. A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum assessment frameworks is a plus. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents. Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
