KS1 Teaching Assistant – December Start | Long Eaton

We’re looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to start in January continuing through for the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an inclusive environment where you can truly help children grow and thrive over the full school year, with the potential to continue beyond September 2026.
About the Role
You will support teachers by working closely with children, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Building strong relationships with children and giving them the time and space to develop is key. You should be fun, adaptable, and have a strong knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
This role will require personal care, confidence in working with children who may struggle in mainstream classrooms is essential. Experience with SEND, especially SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), is a bonus but not essential.
Job Type & Salary
* Long-term role for the full school year starting in December, with potential to continue in September 2026
* Salary: £95–£105 per day
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least a Level 2 qualification or equivalent. We are happy to consider people with a range of qualifications, but you must have experience working in a primary school setting or with SEND children.
Interview & Selection Process
Our interview process is designed to find the right fit for both you and the school. Initially, you’ll be invited for a tour of the school where you’ll meet the team and discuss your experience. Following this, the school will want you to complete a trial week to see how well you integrate with the children and the team. This approach ensures the best match for everyone involved.
