Passionate About KS2? Classroom Recruiters are always on the lookout for passionate and experienced teachers — and we’re already starting to receive exciting opportunities for January! Are you ready to make a difference in the classroom this New Year? We’re seeking enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teachers for maternity cover roles across Nottingham, Ilkeston, and Long Eaton. Our partner schools are proud of their warm, close-knit communities, supportive staff, and children who truly love to learn. The Opportunities Please see a snapshot of some of the opportunities we have coming up after Christmas: * Year 5 – Nottingham: This is a two-form entry class that’s had a fantastic start to the year. The school is looking for a teacher who can bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to continue their excellent progress. * Year 4 – Ilkeston: This role is ideal for an experienced teacher who can help steady the ship for a class that’s had a challenging year. The school is looking for someone calm, consistent, and confident in classroom management, ready to bring stability and positivity to the children’s learning. * Year 6 – Long Eaton: The Headteacher is seeking either an experienced teacher or an energetic ECT with excellent curriculum knowledge and a solid understanding of SATs. This is a great opportunity for someone who can inspire confidence, motivate pupils, and help guide them through their final primary school year. Each role offers the chance to take on full classroom responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues and leadership teams who value both structure and creativity in teaching. What You Can Expect * Supportive Teams: Collaborative planning, shared resources, and open communication. * Lovely Classes: Enthusiastic, well-behaved pupils who love engaging lessons. * Freedom to Teach: Flexibility to bring your own ideas and creativity to lessons. * Smooth Transition: You’ll work with outgoing teachers for a thorough handover before they start maternity leave. The Essentials * Start Date: January 2025 (after Christmas) * Contract: Full-time maternity cover (for the academic year) * Requirements: QTS, PGCE, or equivalent qualification * Experience: Suitable for experienced KS2 teachers or strong ECTs looking to build confidence in a supportive setting The Interview Process Every school has its own interview process, but all candidates will begin with a virtual interview with one of our Classroom Recruiters consultants to discuss the role in depth and ensure the best possible match. Please note: All candidates must complete our full vetting and compliance process before being considered for any position. Ready to Inspire?
