Job Description
Progress Teachers are currently seeking to recruit a SEN TA Behaviour Mentor to work in a primary school in the DE22 area of Derby. The school has achieved “Centre of Excellence” status from the Inclusive School Award by the Inclusion Quality Mark, highlighting its strong inclusive ethos.
You will be working with 2 pupils who are in year 5 who have additional SEND Needs and can display challenging behaviour. You will work 1-1 with the pupils who are currently on reduced timetables.
The ideal candidate will be professional and passionate about SEND / SEMH and supporting children with additional needs and being fully able to adapt themselves to meet each individual needs, including excellent behaviour management.
The role is full time starting immediately and is fixed term covering maternity leave until October 2026.
The school was judged “Good” in all key areas: Quality of education; Behaviour and attitudes; Personal development; Leadership and Management; Early years provision.

* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
