Location: Derby

Contract Type: Full Time / Temp to Perm

Start Date: September 2026

Pay Rate: £130–£250 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Experience: Minimum 6 months' teaching experience in a UK primary school

Overview

Education Personnel are delighted to be working with a well-regarded primary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated KS2 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire pupils and prepare them for a successful transition into secondary education.

Key Responsibilities

  * Deliver high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum

  * Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments where applicable

  * Monitor progress and adapt teaching to meet pupil needs

  * Foster independence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning

  * Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

  * Work closely with colleagues and parents to support pupil outcomes

  * Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parents' evenings as required

The Ideal Candidate

  * Has at least 6 months of teaching experience in a UK primary school

  * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  * Has a sound understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum

  * Can motivate and challenge learners of all abilities

  * Has strong behaviour management and organisational skills

  * Is committed to raising standards and pupil achievement
