Primary School Teacher – Key Stage 2 -- Basingstoke

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering a stimulating curriculum that meets the varied needs of children aged 7 to 11 (KS2). The role requires adaptability, creativity, and a thorough understanding of autism-specific strategies to support learning and development. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff, to ensure the best outcomes for every pupil.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver personalised and differentiated teaching to meet the needs of pupils with autism.
Use evidence-based approaches to promote engagement and progress.
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural support plans.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary education, ideally within special educational needs settings.
Strong knowledge of autism spectrum conditions and associated teaching strategies.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
