About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting students’ learning, confidence, and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials to meet individual student needs.
*
Supporting students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges in the classroom.
*
Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in learning.
*
Assisting with assessments, record-keeping, and monitoring student progress.
*
Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
About You
You’ll be patient, adaptable, and motivated by the opportunity to help young people reach their potential.
Ideally, you will have:

Experience supporting students in a classroom, ideally within KS3/KS4 or an alternative provision setting.
*
The ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency.
*
Strong communication and organisational skills.
*
A proactive, flexible approach to supporting both teachers and students.
*
A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
*
A Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent) — desirable but not essential.
*
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
