The Education Network is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive medical needs school to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher who can inspire and support learners who are unable to access mainstream education due to physical or mental health needs.
🧠 About the Role: This unique and rewarding position involves delivering engaging, accessible Science lessons to small groups of students (KS3), many of whom may be experiencing anxiety, long-term medical conditions, or other barriers to learning.
You will:
Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
Support pupils with a range of medical and emotional needs, adapting your teaching approach accordingly
Foster a calm, inclusive and respectful learning environment
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including pastoral staff, medical professionals and families
Contribute to EHCP targets, personalised learning plans and progress monitoring✅ You Will Need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4
A nurturing, patient and flexible approach
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
An understanding of SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision is highly desirable❤️ Why Join This School?
