What to expect as a Teaching Assistant?
Day-to-day tasks
As a Teaching Assistant, you could:
Help teachers prepare lesson materials
Set up and tidy classrooms for lessons
Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their learning
Watch, record and report the progress students make
Look after children who are upset or unwell
Lead classes with help from the teacher
Would you be the right fit?
Previous experience in a UK school is advantageous
Friendly, confident and calm attitude
Previous experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting
Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
Be passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially
Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (EYFS to Year 6)
You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school
