Entry-Level Laboratory Technician – Materials Testing (Construction)
Location: Penrith
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Our client is seeking a motivated individual to join their team in Penrith as an Entry-Level Laboratory Technician in their construction materials testing facility. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start a hands-on career, with full training provided and clear opportunities for progression.
No previous experience is required – just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. You'll be supported by an experienced team as you develop into a fully trained Laboratory Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out testing and sampling in line with procedures, standards, and specifications
*
Produce accurate test results while maintaining UKAS compliance
*
Keep laboratory work areas clean, safe, and organised
*
Maintain confidentiality of client information throughout all Laboratory Technician duties
What the role involves:
This is a physical, hands-on role that includes lifting materials such as soil, sand, and aggregates. You’ll use a tablet to input data and carry out basic calculations. The role requires working both independently and as part of a team. Over time, you’ll gain the skills to grow and progress as a Laboratory Technician.
