Job Description
Are you a graduate with a passion for laboratory work? We're looking for a motivated and methodical individual to join our clients team as a Laboratory Technician. This full-time, permanent role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and supportive environment, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and testing of samples eg oil, lubricants, fuels etc
* Carrying out quality control checks and interpreting test results
* Checking test results and checking subsequent reports prior to client submission
* Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the laboratory
* Washing laboratory glassware and preparing solvents, control, and calibration samples
* Safe disposal of used oil samples
* Occasional client liaison
* Supporting laboratory operations outside standard hours when necessary
Note: Some tasks may involve manual lifting or use of a respirator.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree within a scientific discipline e.g Chemistry or Biochemistry or similar
* Previous laboratory experience in a working/education environment preferred
* Methodical and detail-oriented working style
* Good standard of mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills
* Accurate data recording
* Comfortable working under deadlines and as part of a team
* Willingness to support operations outside regular working hours if required
* Initiative and a proactive approach to lab success
