General Labourer needed for a site based in St Albans
* Location: St Albans
* Rate: £16.19 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (9.5 hours paid per day)
* Duration: Approximately 1 month (with potential for ongoing work in the area)
* Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
City Calling are looking for a reliable and hard-working General Labourer to join a construction site based in St Albans. The project is nearing completion and expected to last around a month, but we have more upcoming work nearby, so successful candidates will be considered for future roles once this project ends.
This is a great opportunity to get started quickly with steady work available after this assignment.
Key Duties
* Assisting trades and site management with daily tasks
* Keeping the site clean, tidy, and free from hazards
* Handling and moving materials as required
* Following all on-site health and safety procedures
Requirements
* Valid CSCS Card (essential)
* Previous site experience preferred
* Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
* Right to work in the UK
Pay & Hours
* £16.19 per hour (PAYE Umbrella)
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (9.5 hours paid per day)
About PAYE Umbrella
This role is paid through a PAYE Umbrella company, which means you are employed by the umbrella company rather than directly by the end client.
* The umbrella company processes your pay, deducting standard employment costs (such as Employer’s National Insurance, holiday pay, and apprenticeship levy).
* The assignment rate of £16.19/hr includes these employment costs, and your final take-home pay will be shown clearly on your payslip after deductions.
