We are looking to recruit a Land Manager to join our Scotland West Land team based in Glasgow on a 12 month FTC, covering maternity leave. The Land Manager will identify, evaluate and secure land opportunities that meet, or exceed, the business needs for the Region and Area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identification of land opportunities, both on and off market, that fit the company’s requirements (as amended from time to time)
* Assess potential land opportunities, including completion and/or assessment of appraisals to establish appropriate land values
* Processing of opportunities to prepare for offers to be made in consultation with internal colleagues and external parties, where relevant
* Maintain formal reporting procedures as required/directed within the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience of land acquisition, preferably gained in a private house building environment
* Numerate and conversant with Land Appraisal systems, budgets etc.
* Able to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplined team
* Knowledge of legal, technical and planning matters related to the land acquisition process
