Responsibilities
As the Land & Planning Manager, you will:
Proactively identify and secure strategic land opportunities to support a robust medium- and long-term development pipeline.
Lead negotiations with landowners and agents to secure land acquisitions.
Negotiate legal agreements and contracts with landowners and stakeholders.
Coordinate input from internal Land, Technical, and Commercial teams to develop and progress proposals.
Lead pre-application discussions and manage relationships with Local Planning Authorities.
Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications and drive them through to determination.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience managing complex planning applications.
A demonstrable track record of delivering projects to meet or exceed company targets.
A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and residential development.
Day-to-Day
In this role, you will:
Work closely with landowners, agents, and stakeholders to identify and secure new opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals align with company objectives and timelines.
Manage the planning process, from pre-application discussions to securing approvals.
Negotiate and finalise legal agreements to secure land acquisitions.
Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with company goals.
