Overview
The Kirklees Landscape Architects team has a large programme of work to deliver this financial year and next. The work primarily comprises of the design and contract administration of play areas, social housing estate environmental regeneration, and highways landscape works. We also support the planning department with landscape matters.
You would work in a large friendly team and work closely with clients from across the council services.
Responsibilities
* You will lead the delivery of a range of design projects involving planning and landscape design.
* Design hard and soft landscapes improvements to Kirklees’ public realm.
* Effectively manage and monitor activities, projects and the progress of commissioned works undertaken by you, or through consultants.
* Work with partners both internally and externally to deliver projects and support environmental management and council agendas.
* Attend meetings, resolve problems &explain technical details. Deputise for the Senior Landscape Architect as required.
Skills
* Experience in delivering landscape architecture in the public realm would be advantageous.
* Candidates who can competently take a concept design and produce detail design schedules and specifications for tender documentation would be ideal.
* Candidates that are able to do site visits and contract administration in Kirklees would be a preference.
Hours & Pay
* Monday - Friday
* Office day- Tuesday
* Starting pay rate of £19.81 P/H to £24.46 PH
* Weekly pay whilst through agencyBefore You Apply
