A well-established architectural and landscape design practice are looking for a Landscape Architect to join its Barnstaple studio. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work across residential, education, healthcare, and community sectors, the practice takes pride in context-sensitive design and long-term client relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with LVIA experience to contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on creating places that are both functional and inspiring. Preferably office based but also happy to consider working from home with a couple of days in the office.
The Role:
You will work on projects at various stages of development—from early concepts and masterplanning to detailed design and delivery.
Producing landscape strategies, masterplans, and detailed technical drawings
Preparing and coordinating Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
Supporting planning applications with clear, well-structured documentation
Collaborating closely with in-house architects and external consultants
Ensuring all proposals meet planning policy, environmental, and design standards
Requirements
Qualified Landscape Architectural degree and proven UK practice experience
Chartered status (CMLI) or on the pathway to chartership
Demonstrable experience preparing LVIAs and supporting planning submissions
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant design tools
Strong graphic, technical, and report writing skills
A collaborative mindset and a keen eye for detail
