Job Description
We are currently recruiting Laser Operators to join our client, a UK leading provider of sheet metal engineering and fabrication services located in Hixon, Staffordshire. These roles are long-term opportunities. Immediate start dates are available.
Laser Operator key job details:
* Nights: 18:00 to 06:00, 4on4off shifts
* Starting rates from £15.26ph to £17.55ph (dependant on skill/experience)
* Weekly pay
Laser Operator key responsibilities:
* Working from technical drawings, setup and operate laser cutting, engraving, and marking machines
* Inspect, measure, and monitor quality of product, and adjust machine accordingly to ensure quality finishes in line with specifications
* Use various measuring tools to inspect final product
* Record production data and report any issues or defects to supervisors
* Conduct routine checks/maintenance on machine to ensure it runs smoothly with no defects
* Comply with health and safety regulations
Laser Operator person specification:
* Previous experience of operating Laser cutting, engraving, or marking machinery is essential.
* CNC Machine experience is also beneficial
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential
* Strong attention to detail
* Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Good communication (written/verbal) essential
* Own transport is essential
