Job Description
Gi Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laser Setter / Operator in Henley in Arden. This position is a great chance to join a long standing team in a vital role within the manufacturing process.
Duties
-Responsible for setting and operating our Amada Ensis 3015 Fibre Laser machine.
-Able to use Nesting software maximising material efficiently - currently using Amada VPSS3i software - training will be given.
-Capable of reading engineering drawings and inspecting own work using basic hand-held measuring equipment where specified.
-Taking ownership of the laser machine resource to achieve the production plan.
-Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained through best practice house-keeping.
-Complete all paperwork in accordance with procedures.
Skills
-Proven flatbed laser and nesting experience, minimum of 2years hands-on programming (nesting software), setting and operating.
-Attention to detail and capable of reviewing product quality and adjusting as necessary.
-Able to work individually or as part of a team.
-Flexible to the changing needs of the business in order to support customer requirements.
-Ability to communicate clearly any concerns or issues to colleagues and supervisors
-FLT licence.
-Carry out daily maintenance checks, maintain workplace organisation, participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to Perm / Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
