️ Law & Criminology Lecturer Location: Sunderland Sixth Form Contract: Temporary (6 Weeks) with Potential to Become Permanent Hours: 15 Hours per Week Start Date: ASAP Competitive Hourly Rates Available Employer: The Supply Register (on behalf of Education Partnership North East) The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of Sunderland Sixth Form for a Law & Criminology Lecturer to join their successful sixth form provision. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lecturer, Teacher, or industry professional with expertise in Law and/or Criminology to inspire and support students studying at advanced level. Initially offered as a 6-week assignment, this position has the potential to become a longer-term or permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The Role As a Law & Criminology Lecturer, you will: Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Law and Criminology Support students studying Level 3 qualifications Plan, prepare, and deliver inclusive and inspiring learning sessions Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Support learners in achieving their academic goals and progression aspirations Create a positive and professional learning environment Contribute to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement Timetable Wednesday: 9:00am – 12:15pm Thursday: 8:30am – 4:30pm Friday: 1:00pm – 4:15pm Total: 15 hours per week What We're Looking For Essential: Relevant qualification in Law, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related subject Experience teaching, training, or delivering learning within Law and/or Criminology Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to motivate and engage post-16 learners Passion for education and learner success Desirable: Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent) Experience teaching A Level, BTEC, Applied Law, or Criminology qualifications Industry experience within legal, criminal justice, policing, probation, or related sectors Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain) Why Work with The Supply Register? ⭐ Opportunity to teach highly motivated sixth form students ⭐ Potential temp-to-perm opportunity ⭐ Competitive hourly rates and weekly pay ⭐ Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant ⭐ Opportunity to join a respected and successful sixth form provision Safeguarding Statement The Supply Register and Education Partnership North East are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
