Lawyer Advocate
Location: Westgate Street, GL1 2TG
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 1+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 43.12 per day

Responsibilities
Assist with Adult Social Care legislation queries and matters.
Handle Court of Protection cases.
Manage Re X applications and s21A cases.
Address capacity cases, such as those related to the ability to have sexual relations.
Work on Mental Health cases and the displacement of nearest relatives.
Deal with means assessment and deprivation of capital matters.
Resolve direct payments queries and ordinary residence disputes.
Conduct judicial reviews and manage LGSCO matters on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.
Person Specification
Significant experience in Adult Social Care work, enabling you to hit the ground running.
Commitment to promoting diversity and reflecting the population of Gloucestershire.
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and compliance with GDPR.
Admitted Solicitor or Barrister with relevant qualifications and registrations.
Ability to work remotely and manage workload efficiently.
