This is a face-to-face, in-person role, focused on embedding trauma-informed practices and delivering impactful, systemic care to children and families. You will play a central role in implementing psychological models of care, supporting staff teams, and working collaboratively with external professionals to improve outcomes for looked-after children and families in assessment placements. Key Responsibilities Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and therapeutic support plans for children and families Provide ongoing therapy sessions informed by models of treatment for developmental and complex trauma Lead consultation, reflection, and planning meetings with residential care teams Provide training on therapeutic parenting, attachment, and trauma-informed practices Supervise and support Assistant Psychologists within the service Work systemically with professionals including social workers, education staff, and health teams Essential Requirements HCPC registration (or pending) as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Experience working with children and young people affected by trauma, neglect, or maltreatment Strong understanding of multi-agency systems and statutory processes (e.g., CAMHS, local authorities) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work systemically Desirable Skills Experience working in residential settings or family assessment environments Ability to lead training sessions and facilitate clinical team development Confidence in delivering clinical reports and managing complex cases Why Apply?
