Job title: Lead Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer Location: Warrington -- Hybrid Job type: Permanent Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an Lead EC&I Engineer for a permanent position in Warrington location. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals or highly regulated industry. Role In this role you will be the Lead EC&I Engineer for one project / portfolio of projects and will be responsible to manage and complete the EC&I engineering and design, which includes change control and consistency of the EC&I engineering and design with the other disciplines. Responsibilities As an Lead Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer you will be responsible for the Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) design within engineering, EPCM or EPC projects and you will act as the technical authority for the EC&I discipline. Project will predominantly reside in UK, but you will be expected to carry out projects for Europe & UK and these projects will range across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications. You shall be able to lead projects and coordinate all EC&I engineering and design, with the other disciplines, Mechanical, Civil and Structural, Process and Automation. You will carry out, check and approve Engineering and Design estimates. Qualification Previous experience as Lead Engineer EC&I, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company, in one of the sectors : (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food). Deep knowledge of EC&I engineering and design, but you also have a sound knowledge of the other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Process) Experience of acting as a technical authority or line manager for an engineering organisation MEng / BEng in EC&I Engineering Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (Preferred), TUV Certification Strong understanding of the main standards in relation your discipline including 7671, 7430, 61508, 61511, ATEX, DSEAR, LV and HV Experienced with the main EC&I design packages including AMTECH, AutoCAD, AutoCAD electrical, Revit, Dialux and all Microsoft office packages What's in it for you?
