Job Description

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Lead Electrical Shift Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for a Lead Electrical Shift Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

As the Lead Electrical Shift Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Lead Electrical Shift Engineer, will be responsible for:

  * Support 24/7 critical services, ensuring no unplanned downtime.

  * Complete and maintain weekly data including capacity reports and generator logs.

  * Work normal hours while providing shift cover when required.

  * Apply strong working knowledge of BS 7671 electrical installation and testing requirements.

  * Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, lighting, AC/refrigeration, LV infrastructure, UPS systems, generators, and associated distribution equipment.

To be successful for this Lead Electrical Shift Engineer role you must have:

  * Time‑served electrical apprenticeship.

  * Up‑to‑date BS 7671 wiring regulations qualification.

  * Familiarity with LPHW (Low Pressure Hot Water) systems.

  * Full UK driving licence.

  * HNC in Building Services or related discipline.

  * C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection.

  * Experience with Trend 963 or equivalent BMS platforms.

  * IOSH Health & Safety certification.

  * HV/LV Authorised Person status.

  * Confined Spaces AP certification.

  * Knowledge of ACOP L8 (Legionella management).
