Lead Commercial Electrician
Up to £48,000
Manchester/ Preston/ Surrounding
7:30am - 4:00pm
Stable, profitable business with around £20M annual turnover.
The Role As a Lead Electrician, you’ll take ownership of larger commercial and industrial electrical projects, installations and more complex call outs, acting as the first point of contact on site and taking responsibility for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
The role sits within the company's M&E department, working across a range of commercial environments, with a strong focus on healthcare sites alongside wider commercial and industrial projects.
Your work will include electrical installation and modification work associated with heating, cooling and M&E systems, including wiring and connecting heat pumps and associated equipment, as well as broader electrical installations, fault finding, isolations and refurbishments.
This is a hands-on role with a long-standing business with over 150 staff!
Rather than focusing always on day-to-day reactive works, you’ll be trusted to lead jobs, manage projects and deal with more technically challenging situations, working closely with the wider mechanical and engineering teams to deliver complete M&E solutions.
Benefits:
Enhanced company sick pay – following the initial qualifying period, you'll receive up to 6 weeks' full pay, followed by a further 6 weeks' half pay. Full details are provided within your contract of employment.
24 days holiday, with the option to buy additional leave after 12 months.
Strong support network including dedicated helpdesk and call out manager to handle initial calls.
Comprehensive induction with a buddy system for your first few months.
Family events, Christmas parties, wellbeing support and an excellent employee referral scheme.
Location/travel: Generally jobs within 30 minutes of home. Travel paid at normal rate when over 30 miles each way. Overtime or travel can be paid or taken as TOIL.
Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, with flexibility where sites are further away.
