Lead Electrician – Overview
We are working with an established roofing and Solar PV company who are looking for a Lead Commercial Electrician to join their commercial team, working on large commercial sites from 50Kw up to 2MW projects on roof mount systems. They work across a range of commercial sites such as Warehouses, Factories, Farms, Schools, Leisure centres
This is a full time permanent on-site role where you will be responsible for Installing commercial solar systems as well as managing a team of 3 electricians from newly qualified to apprentices. You will be also responsible for reading & understanding PV designs & plans, testing & reporting, fault diagnostics and repairs and ensuring all installations are completed to the highest standard that comply with relevant regulations.
The business cover UK wide however their target area is the North West & Yorkshire with some works in the Midlands. If the works require staying away, they give all Engineers and Supervisors a staying away bonus, a staying away allowance for food and expenses as well as all digs and costs covered for you.
You will need proven experience installing, testing & commissioning commercial Solar PV systems, strong knowledge of PV materials, techniques, and safety protocols and a full UK driving licence.
The company has excellent progression and development opportunities, and there will be opportunities to progress to Management level.
