Now hiring: HV Substation Design Engineer (CDAE – National Grid Projects)
Are you an experienced HV Substation Design Engineer with CDAE expertise looking to lead major UK infrastructure projects — with the flexibility to work remotely?
Join a collaborative Transmission Design Team delivering high-quality solutions for key clients including National Grid, SSE, SPEN, and DNOs.
🌍 Remote working flexibility
👷♂️ End-to-end project ownership
🔧 Lead design from concept through to commissioning
🤝 Be a key technical contact across engineering, project, and bid teams
💡 What you'll bring:
✔️ Proven experience in HV CDAE roles on National Grid projects
✔️ Expertise in substation design – primary, secondary, and earthing systems
✔️ Strong understanding of UK standards and specifications (National Grid, British Standards, DNO/TNO)
✔️ Working knowledge of 2D CAD (preferably Autodesk tools)
