Job Description
We're working with an amazing business who are based in Rotherham. They provide services to the water industry, and have contracts with leading names. They are looking to recruit a Lead Fitter for their servicing team, which involves travel to various sites. The Person:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to read and follow maintenance task lists.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Full UK driving license.
* Experience in the Waste Water or Water industry.
This role is working days but may incur weekend and evening call out, which will be paid at a premium. The role comes with a company van, phone and tablet.
The Role:
* Routine Maintenance & Repairs: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on waste-water treatment screens – this will involve entry into confined spaces.
* Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis: Identify and resolve mechanical issues where possible and complete a comprehensive report to allow further works to be carried out as required
* Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed service records, write reports, and ensure all activities adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all company and client safety regulations and guidelines. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting.
This role is working Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4.30 pm, Friday 7 am – 3 pm for core hours.
