Our client, a dynamic healthcare organisation in South East London, is searching for a Lead Nurse to join their Substance Misuse team in South East London. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £53,000 per annum, along with a range of attractive benefits. As a Lead Nurse in Substance Misuse Services, you will:
Lead and manage a team of nurses providing care to service users with complex needs.
Ensure the service meets all CQC and national quality standards.
Support detox programmes and clinical interventions with prescribing teams.
Promote harm reduction strategies, including BBV screening and immunisation.
Act as a point of escalation for safeguarding concerns and clinical risks.
Contribute to staff development through supervision and training.
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Participate in service development and clinical audits.

The ideal candidate for the Lead Nurse position will:
Be a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
Have strong clinical experience in substance misuse, community health, or mental health.
Be confident in managing a team and leading on clinical best practice.
Understand harm minimisation, detox processes, and BBV care.
Be skilled in managing complex caseloads while maintaining high standards of care.
Possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
