Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 24.24 per hour

Job Responsibilities
Support the Team Manager in leading and supervising social care practices.
Promote continuous learning and professional development for staff and students.
Help people access information, advice, and local services to maintain their health and independence.
Provide high-quality social work according to the Care Act 2014 and Barnet policies.
Conduct professional assessments to meet social care outcomes.
Safeguard adults and carers at risk and promote their well-being.
Manage a small, complex caseload and conduct risk assessments.
Chair safeguarding and multidisciplinary meetings as needed.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Maintain effective relationships with partners and colleagues.
Provide consultation and advice to support social workers and officers.
Mentor less experienced staff and develop team skills and practice.
Promote self-directed support and care technology to enhance well-being.
Record relevant data accurately and conduct Mental Capacity Act assessments.
Act as a 'Best Interest Assessor' if trained and competent.
Encourage contributions from adults, advocates, and carers in assessments.
Understand local provisions and make appropriate referrals.
Promote and support the use of direct payments and financial assessments.
Represent the service at external meetings and prepare reports.
Understand the budgetary framework to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Identify beneficial care technology and make referrals.
Support a culture of improvement, effective practices, and customer satisfaction.
Manage designated staff and ensure the Council's values are upheld.
Handle personal data securely in compliance with data protection laws.
Work flexibly and perform duties outside normal hours if required.
Person Specifications
Must Have
Experience in social care practice leadership and supervision.
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding policies.
Ability to manage complex caseloads and conduct risk assessments.
Experience in chairing meetings and maintaining professional relationships.
Skills in mentoring and developing team members.
Competence in using care technology and promoting self-directed support.
Strong understanding of budget management and cost-effective solutions.
Ability to handle personal data securely and comply with data protection laws.
Nice to Have
Training and competence as a 'Best Interest Assessor'.
Experience in promoting direct payments and financial assessments.
Familiarity with local provisions and referral processes.
