Job Description

Lead Quality Engineer

Join an innovative engineering organisation developing high-performance technologies used in demanding industrial applications. We’re looking for a Quality Lead Engineer to guide a small team and strengthen our quality systems, processes, and supplier performance.

Your responsibilities:

  * 

    Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians

  * 

    Drive structured problem-solving using 8D, root cause analysis and corrective actions

  * 

    Introduce and improve quality systems aligned with operational and business goals

  * 

    Oversee supplier quality, including issue resolution, PPAP and control plan development

  * 

    Monitor process capability and stability through data analysis and SPC

  * 

    Manage inspection, metrology and incoming goods quality activities

  * 

    Advance measurement techniques and support laboratory efficiency improvements

  * 

    Contribute to KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

What you bring:

  * 

    Several years’ experience in manufacturing or a technical production environment

  * 

    Strong knowledge of 8D and supporting problem-solving tools

  * 

    Proven background in Quality Engineering

  * 

    Engineering degree or HNC (or equivalent technical experience)

  * 

    Strong understanding of core quality tools

  * 

    Ability to interpret drawings and use inspection/measurement equipment

  * 

    Strong IT skills and experience with statistical software

  * 

    Experience in supplier quality management
