Lead Returns and Repair Technician
Location: Basingstoke
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Days, 7am/3pm or 8am/4pm
One of Carbon60's leading Technology Manufacturing clients is seeking a skilled and proactive Lead Returns and Repair Technician to join its operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in electronics and a passion for continuous improvement and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a small team within the Returns department
Repair and test equipment following defined procedures
Assist in developing test processes for new components
Ensure timely processing of priority returns
Investigate delays and implement solutions to improve turnaround times
Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve production-related return issues
Record, process, and diagnose faults in returned equipment
Participate in structured problem-solving workshops
Support training and development initiatives
Perform system transactions and maintain accurate records
Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a flexible working environment
Candidate Profile
Technical experience in the electronics industry.
Methodical and organised approach to work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (e.g., Sage or SAP).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and lead by example.
