Lead Veterinarian – Shape the Future of this Veterinary Hospital (Central Coast, NSW, Australia)
Up to $170k + $20k sign-on bonus + $10k relocation support.
What if your next role gave you the best of both worlds, the chance to lead a fantastic team and live the coastal dream? Just over an hour from Sydney and Newcastle, the Central Coast, Australia, is all about golden beaches, lakeside walks, great food, and an easy pace of life. At Ourimbah Veterinary Hospital, they’re ready to welcome a Lead Vet who wants to make a real difference.
For more than 35 years, this hospital has been part of the community. Families have trusted them for generations, and behind that trust is a fun, supportive team that loves what they do.
As Lead Vet, you’ll be at the heart of it all. Responsibilities include:
* Mentoring and inspiring their GP vets, sharing your surgical know-how, and shaping the future of the clinic.
* As well as treating patients, you’ll be building a culture of collaboration, growth, and high-quality care.
* Developing team members and leading reviews, to having your say in strategy and marketing.
This place has a real ‘family feel’ about it, where everyone pulls together when there’s work, and relaxes when it’s time. Decisions can be made quickly, and ideas are encouraged.
Inside, you’ll have everything you need: four consult rooms, a cat-only area, two surgical suites, a dental suite with radiography, imaging with digital X-ray and ultrasound, in-house lab, and separate dog and cat wards. They’ve even made sure the staff room is tucked away so you can enjoy a proper break.
To thrive, you’ll need at least five years in small animal practice, strong surgical skills, and the confidence to mentor others while driving high standards.
Ourimbah is a hidden gem and is the ideal spot to work and live. Nestled between Tuggerah Lake and the ocean, you can finish a shift and be at the beach in fifteen minutes. Surrounded by forest and bushwalking trails, you can surf in the morning, hike in the afternoon, and still be home in time for dinner. The hospital’s a quick walk from the train station (with free parking too), so getting there is a breeze.
So, what’s in it for you?
* A salary up to $170,000 + super, $20k sign-on bonus, and $10k relocation allowance for UK vets.
* Visa Sponsorship.
* You’ll also get a generous CPD allowance with study leave, exclusive access to the VetPartners Training Centre, paid parental leave, fitness passport, health cover, retail discounts, and more.
* Best of all, no weekends, no on-call, and a flexible roster so you can actually enjoy the lifestyle here. Not many clinics can boast all of this!
So, what’s next?
If you’re looking for a place where your skills are valued, your ideas are heard, and your team feels more like family than colleagues, you’ve found it. Add in the chance to live by the coast, and it’s a role where work and life truly align. We’d love to welcome you.
