Job Description

Learning & Development Manager | Poole | £45,000  Design, lead, and embed a learning culture that develops people, drives performance, and supports long-term business growth. We’re partnering with a values-led organisation investing heavily in its people agenda. With further growth on the horizon and a strong focus on people development, they’re seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to take full ownership of their training strategy - designing, delivering, and evolving learning programmes across the business. You’ll be the central figure in building out a scalable, engaging, and effective approach to learning. From creating leadership pathways and graduate schemes to implementing a new Learning Management System, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing talent and supporting succession. Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this is a broad, hands-on position ideal for someone passionate about people development and business impact. As Learning & Development Manager, you’ll: Own the design, management, and continuous development of the companies learning & development vision Deliver a business-aligned training strategy with engaging, accessible programmes across all levels Build and manage a modular leadership and management development plan focused on soft skills and mid-level leadership Design and deliver workshops, toolkits, and resources that upskill employees and promote a learning culture Lead the rollout and ownership of a new Learning Management System (LMS) Oversee the L&D budget and track ROI, ensuring commercial value from all initiatives Support succession planning and workforce capability through skills gap analysis and training Champion graduate and apprentice development - from onboarding to qualification and beyond Be the central point of contact for all L&D initiatives, providing partnership across the People & Culture function As Learning & Development Manager you’ll bring: Proven experience in an L&D role at Advisor or Manager level Strong facilitation and instructional design skills across a range of formats (e-learning, workshops, on-the-job training) The ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the business Experience managing budgets and evaluating the impact of training HR generalist experience (ideally at Business Partner level) and a collaborative mindset A commercial and data-led approach to learning, always focused on impact As Learning & Development Manager this is an opportunity to shape the future of talent development in a company that values its people and invests in growth from within.
