RNLD / RMN | £45,000-£50,000 | No On-Call | West Midlands | Monday-Friday Are you an experienced RNLD or RMN with a background in learning disabilities, mental health, challenging behaviours and complex care? We're recruiting for a Learning Disabilities Clinical Lead to join an established community care provider supporting adults and children with learning disabilities, mental health needs, brain injuries and challenging behaviours across the West Midlands. This is a senior clinical position combining clinical leadership, assessments, care planning, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), risk management, staff training, competency assessment and clinical governance. A major focus will be ARC (Assessment, Risk Management and Crisis Intervention), supporting frontline teams to deliver safe, therapeutic and least-restrictive care. Package & Benefits £45,000-£50,000 salary No on-call requirement 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday working pattern Community-based role across Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and the wider West Midlands Adult and children's complex care Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to develop as an ARC Trainer Senior clinical leadership position Long-term career progressionThe Role As the Learning Disabilities Clinical Lead, you'll provide clinical leadership across specialist community care packages, working closely with care teams, families, commissioners and multidisciplinary professionals. Responsibilities will include: Completing comprehensive clinical assessments Developing and reviewing care plans and risk assessments Providing clinical leadership across complex community care packages Delivering and quality assuring ARC training Developing PBS and behavioural support strategies Assessing behavioural triggers, risks and changing needs Promoting least-restrictive and trauma-informed care Delivering staff training and competency assessments Coaching and mentoring frontline care teams Supporting safeguarding, incident investigations and clinical governance Working with families, commissioners and multidisciplinary teams Supporting new package mobilisation and service development Contributing to clinical tenders, recruitment and workforce development Maintaining compliance with CQC, NMC and safeguarding standardsThe role includes responsibility for embedding ARC principles into care planning, risk assessments, PBS plans and crisis-intervention strategies. About You To be considered for this Learning Disabilities Clinical Lead position, you'll need: Registered RNLD or RMN with active NMC registration Experience supporting adults and/or children with learning disabilities, mental health needs, challenging behaviours or complex needs Strong clinical assessment, care planning and risk assessment experience Knowledge and experience of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Experience with de-escalation, behavioural management and crisis intervention Experience delivering training and assessing staff competencies Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and least-restrictive practice Strong clinical leadership and autonomous decision-making skills Experience working with families and multidisciplinary professionals Full UK driving licence and access to transportExperience delivering or implementing ARC or an equivalent crisis-intervention framework within complex care is required. Existing ARC Trainer status is advantageous, with the specification also allowing candidates willing to complete ARC Trainer certification within an agreed timeframe.
