About the Role
The Service Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing and safety of residents and in leading a team of support staff. This position requires a proactive and compassionate leader who can inspire and guide others while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and reviewing person-centred support plans and risk assessments
Conducting audits and overseeing documentation and financial systems
Managing schedules and providing direct support to the service
Acting as a liaison for residents, families, and staff
Participating in management meetings and representing the service externally
Ensuring secure and compliant data handling
Supporting staff development through supervision, appraisal, and training
Addressing concerns and contributing to resolution processes
Promoting safe working practices and conducting health and safety assessments
Upholding regulatory standards and legislative requirementsCandidate Requirements
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health conditions
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, with a commitment to achieving Level 5
Proven experience in team management, including rotas, appraisals, and disciplinary procedures
