Learning Mentor - Southwark
Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start | Mainstream Secondary School
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Southwark that is seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with academic, emotional, and behavioural needs within a well-resourced school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students who require additional support
Help pupils develop resilience, confidence, and positive learning habits
Support teachers and pastoral teams in promoting positive behaviour and attendance
Deliver targeted interventions to address barriers to learning and engagement
Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing school environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or young people (in schools or similar settings)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students
Full-time availability for a long-term position
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
