Job Description
Teachwise is currently looking for a skilled and experienced learning mentor for a local secondary school based in Altrincham. The role will begin on 8th September and will continue on a full-time basis, 5 days per week.
The role will involve working with pupils across KS3 & KS4. Some pupils are dis-engaged and exhibit challenging behaviour whilst others have SEND and require bespoke 1-1 support. You will need to have excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to engage with a pupils from a wide array of backgrounds.
The position would suit someone who has previously worked as a learning mentor or behaviour mentor within a secondary school setting.
Key skills:
* Experience working with pupils across KS3/4
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to engage and build rapport quickly
* Ability to manage and improve challenging behaviour
* Experience working with pupils with SEND
* Committed to pupil progress and positive outcomes
* Available for work from 8th September
* Hold right to work in the UK
* Hold and enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
