Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join a supportive school in Yeovil, starting ASAP.
Location: Yeovil
Pay: £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time, term-time only
About the Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. You'll work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement
Support emotional well being and social development
Assist with learning activities tailored to individual needs
Collaborate with the wider school team to track progressIdeal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach
