Learning Mentor
Full-time | Long-term opportunities available
Milk Education are seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Mentor to work across secondary schools in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, supporting them both academically and emotionally to achieve their full potential.
The schools you’ll be working with are inclusive, modern, and committed to equality and diversity, creating a safe and supportive environment for every student. As a Learning Mentor, you’ll play a key role in building positive relationships, developing pupil confidence, and guiding students towards success.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils who need extra support
Supporting students with their personal, social, and academic development
Helping pupils to manage behaviour, build resilience, and engage in learning
Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to track progress
✅ Experience / Qualifications
Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth work setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build trust and positive relationships with students
Empathy, patience, and resilience to support pupils with varying needs
